President Trump took historic action by signing an Executive Order that promotes and protects free speech on college campuses. It’s important college campuses remain institutions that promote free speech, thought, and debate. The President’s Executive Order is the first in a series of steps to defend students’ rights and protect free speech. Under the President’s Executive Order, 12 grant-making agencies - including the Department of Education and Health and Human Services - will use their authority to ensure public institutions fulfill their obligation to uphold students’ First Amendment rights and private institutions live up to their own free speech standards.
The full text of the order can be found here.
